When I put mine on my 08 fatboy I didn't have to cut any wires. The yellow wire inside the headlight was there with a plugin so all I had to do was tie the two aux. lights together with the connector they furnished and plug it in. there was a switch I had to mount and drill one hole but everything was furnished. When I turn on my hi beam the aux. lights turn off, they only run on low beam. With the switch I can turn them off completly.

I have the Deluxe kit on mine. I love the styling and the extra light helps out a bunch

If you are not in a big hurry you can do what I did and just piece a set together on ebay. I think I'm into mine for about $65.00 and that includes an extra set of spots.
