Default Is A Horn Required For Inspection?

Thinking about relocating my horn, but if I don't need it for inspection, maybe relocating it to my garage shelf is a better idea. I never use it anyway. Would not having a horn hooked up cause an error code or anything like that?

Here in Ks., you only have to get inspection if you buy your bike out of state. I bought mine in Texas, and all they wanted to check was the VIN numbers to see if they matched the title. I was affraid they would make me start it to check the lights and stuff. The deputy just looked at my drag pipes, but did not have me start it. I was sweating a little, well, maybe a lot. LOL. He told me later that he sure would have liked to have taken it for a spin. We do not have any other inspection.

It's required in Maryland, but you only inspect when you buy it. I for one do not want to ride without a horn!

I was thinking like you Warg, I never use it. How about a real small one and maybe stick it down by the shocks

They sure will check in NJ.

Loud pipes are good but a horn is even better. I wouldn't ride without one! I get to test it often riding around here.

In Hawaii we gotta get a safety inspection every year... I through a small 2 inch horn above the shocks mounted to the slash guard... Sounds like a moped horn, but it passes the inspection...
