I've had the Sears red for about 3 yrs. with no problems. Grabbed it on sale for 75.00 bucks. Bike sits on it all winter and I can climb and sit on it without it being strapped down. Doing work and cleaning the bike with a couple feet of air under it is the only way to roll.

I love my lift. Got a great deal on Craigs List. I got a 1 year old Direct Lift brand lift with wheel vice and a low jack that is used to lift rear tire for wheel work. The jack has nylon frame blocks to fit any bike. I picked it up for around $600.
The jack is just low enough to slide under my lowered Train. I love it best for fluid changes and detailing..
The lift lifts around 36" to the top. The highest lock point is around 32"
I guess it all depends how much you will use it and how much you want to spend.

I have the Pit Bull and love it. I think its over priced, but you get what you pay for. It's nice to be able to move the bike around the garage, being able to spin the wheels when cleaning the rims. Easy to store on its side up along the wall. Good Luck

After a bunch of reading on this subject I went ahead and bought the J&S lift. It was $$$ but Im sure it will last and I dont have to worry about my bike. It rolls right under my fatboy that is lowered in the rear. Very good lift and I am happy I bought it. Good luck makeing your decision.

I got the Sears Yellow jack, I love it. I can't imagine not have a bike jack now that I own one.
