There's a guy in the "Detailing" section that used a Meguiars yellow wax something or other on his silver denim bike. Looked pretty good! Made the silver pop without having that high gloss look.

I am going to have to disagree on the denim silver and waxing. I know this may be an old thread but i have a 2009 iron and its denim silver. The meguires tech wax does an awesome job on my paint. I want to stress this though if your matte finish is black then absolutely under no circumstance put wax on it. It works very nice on the silver but it really F&*$ up the black finish.

Yep the wax on the silver is great it shines but its still matte and it brings out the flake in the paint. The guys trip at the shop when i go in and they wash it after service because the water will not stay on the bike. I also use the same meguires tech 2.0 on all my chrome pieces on my yamaha pipes and everything and it works awesome

don't use s100.
the moco recommends windex/glas cleaner or simple green.

Been using S100 for over a year on the denim without any problems. Just don't let it dry on the paint or use in the sun. Spray on, wash, rinse. Easy.

I have Pewter Denim paint that I sprayed myself. I bought the paint from ColorRite. All I ever use is Windex on it. It's very easy to care for the denim paint and I have had zero problems with it. I would not try using wax. I use Meguiars final inspection detailer for my windshield and have got some on my paint. It seemed to work good too and didn't make it shiny just clean looking.

I detail bikes at our local dealership. harley has come out with a new denim spray that they now recommend. Shake well, spray on a rag, whip it down and whip it off. it cleans it very nicel

AT probably 4x the cost of Windex. I'll stick with Windex.

Default I have posted a few pics of my waxed denim silver 883.

I hadnt waxed it in about 3 mths in these pics but you can still see it looks great to me but i like the shine. In the owners manual it just says waxing will cause a shiny finish it really doesnt say not too. Every one has what they like and that doesnt make it wrong right better or worse but just a preference you know. Thanks for all of the replys too my thread and i will be posting some new pics with seat sissy bar and other upgrades when my funds permit.
