Default Fatboy or Heritage - which to buy?

I'm considering purchasing either a Fatboy or a Heritage (2010). Do people find the ride very different between the two?

TIA

Depends if you want a fatboy, or a heritage. . What type of riding do you want to do?

Great thing about a Heritage is that its flexible, take the bags and the windshield off and you've pretty much got a deluxe.

Aren't they both the same frame, suspension, etc and they both have 16 inch front wheels, the only thing I was asked when I had my Fatboy was about the solid wheels and if the wind pushed me around more. The answer
was no,it made no change. The only change I could tell with the solid wheel was it was nicer to clean!

A few answers:

1. It depends on the type of riding you are planning on doing? Granted you can add the saddlebags to the fat boy if you intend to do trips. It might be a little cheaper to go with the heritage, and just get the quick release installed for the saddlebags and sissybar.

2. If you can, take demo rides on both and see how they feel to you and aide yourself in the decision making that way.

good luck picking

Thanks for the quick responses. I had heard that the larger rear tire on the Fatboy made a big difference in the ride. You're right about a couple demo rides to see for myself.

Default Fatboy or Heritage

I know I'm biased, but I bought the 2010 Fatboy in Black Ice. I did go with aftermarket wheels though cause I'm not crazy about the solid disc wheels, but I LOVE the ride.

Good luck deciding !! It's a personal choice that no one can really make for you. I agree that a test ride is in order.

I love both. If I was buying another bike it would be the Fat Boy, only because I intend to keep the Ultra and I would not need a second tourer. I do love the look of the Heritage though. Go take a test ride on both as previous posters recommended and then go with your gut feeling. Both bikes are great.

They are both AWESOME bikes and you can't go wrong with either one. You can alter both of them to fit your needs depending on your $$$ situation. Heritage is a little cheaper up front because it comes with touring accessories, but that may not be your thing. You will know which one you want after you ride them both, GUARANTEED!
