go for the apes man. Im 24, and 6'3" and just got my 14s on 1.5 risers. Havent had a chance to ride with em, but had a fairly similar height before. Just sitting on it with 14s, they are right at my shoulder. Could be my seat, but I also liked the look of the 14s over some 16 or 18s just for the direction Im taking my bike, no doubt that I would like the feel of some 16s.

I've got 16"s on my Heritage.I'm 5'10" and they are just above my shoulders with stock risers and Ice Age seat. Risers on a Train are tall. You may want to take that into consideration. Nice bike. Would look good with apes. Bill
I put 18's on my sled to fly with the big boys. I'm 5'9. If I was 6' I would go with the 20"s. But thats just me. My hands are just above my shoulders now, I rocked the bars back in line with the forks.
After this weekend, I am getting some soon. Rode 3 hours to LA for the Easyriders show (lame) and my back was killing me. Alot of it had to do with the crap freeways but the drag bars have to go. I am going to put some 16" on 1.5 or 2" risers. Maybe Carlini Gangster Apes.
You want to try to get apes that are no higher than your shoulders . If you go higher you will feel your arms going numb and have to lower them to get the blood back in them. I had a set on my 05 dyna chopper and they look great but when you mount them and keep them straight up you lose a lot of control .Good luck .Hammer
Sounds like the 16 or 18's - Someone on the forum suggested a great way to determine what size - grab a broom and position it to where you find it comfortable and then have someone take a measurement.
I just put 14" on mine....I'm 6"3" and they fit perfect(for me) shoulder height.
I sit lower in the duece vs some of my buddies with road kings/street glides with
16" apes. You'll love the apes no matter what you decide
