My daytripper solo was good after the break-in period of a few hundred miles or so. Much better then stock at that point and could ride about 3 times as long then with the stock seat.

regards,

Dale

I think Mustang seats are some of the best on the aftermarket - HOWEVER, it's been my experience that they make you sit closer. and if you're over 6ft (like I am) it does make a difference.

One of the best mods I made. I have done 3-400 miles a day with no butt issues.

That might a problem as I am 6'2 with long as arms, I am really looking to sit back a bit. But it might not make a diff since Im putting drag bars and moving the floor boards forward

No disrespect intended for those who have them, but i think they are ugly. The large, studded seats dont do it for me. If I wanted that, I wouldve left the nasty stock harley seat on. Guess they might be good for comfort or long distance rides, but if it doesnt look good, its not for me. Just my opinion...you asked.

Huh? Studs? The Mustang Day tripper is a pretty clean seat. Maybe they are available with studs but I've seen them without. I have a Mustang Fastback an my Fat Boy. It allows me to sit back and has a little back support. I've ridden it from here to Sturgis several times a little over 400 miles in 6 hours and was reasonably comfortable. I wouldn't pack a chick very far with it though. I'll attach a photo of how ugly it makes my bike looks.

Had a Daytripper on my 04 XLR and it was much better than the stocker but then again, a 2X4 would have been an improvement over the stock seat.It moved me back from the stock posistion and seemed well built. It was also aptly named as it was a good day trip seat but was definitly not suitable for touring.

I really like the Tripper two up seat on my Train. If it was my only bike I would not sell the Vintage 2 up for wide tire bikes I have listed in the classifieds.
