You said stage 1 from dealer. Did they replace the air filter or just pipes and download a flash? A high flow cleaner will help. I know you dont want to hear this, your pipes are the worse in terms of tq and actually remove it, hurting performance. A trade off of what you like as compared to what works best. A 2n1 will add tq. So... a filter, a 2n1, pc v, then into the cam chest if you want more...

Big Radius pipes don't do much other than make noise. A 2:1 pipe, a high-flow air cleaner, a TTS Mastertune, and a proper dyno tune will make a noticeable difference. A proper Stage 1 tuned to your bike is going to run $1600-$1800. A canned map is a halfway solution. Better than the dealer download, not nearly as good as a dyno tune.

If you want cheap power, get a used Ninja. For $2500 it'll annihilate nearly any Harley on the road.

Hey Gordon...

Ya think Xied's would help him for now? With his stage 1 flash he could add the Xied's for about 130 bucks and take them off if he has to put the bike in for warranty. At least he would be at 13.8 AFR's across the board for now.

Greasemonkey, your warranty runs two years/unlimited mileage unless you purchased the dreaded extended warranty.

A Stage 1 does not affect the warranty.

.... and every 50 pounds of weight on a bike decreases your mileage by 1 MPG.

Traditionally, free flowing pipes, aircleaner and tune would be a noticable improvement. More air in, more air out, fuel and timing to compensate.

You must be missing one or two of those items.

First of all you need to define cheap. Just like "Harley Sound" this is very subjective. To some cheap is $200 mod while others cheap is a $2000 mod... it all depends on what you get for $$$. IMHO the best bang for the buck is a bolt in cam, free flowing air cleaner and pipes, and a fuel management system with a good tune but this probably will not fit into the cheap catagory. Im not sure about warranty issues? Decide on a reasonable and doable budget for yourself and then you can decide where to put that $$$.
