Default flush mount fuel gauge and cap ~ painted??

can the flush mount fuel gauge and cap be painted? just curious if anyone has done this and how it has worked out if so

The flush mount fuel gauge has led's in it that will not be visible if painted. The gas cap can be.

I guess that if you taped off the led's which are flush in the cap it could be done, but I have not heard of it being done. Talk to JRK and he can probably tell you more. The Powder Pro knows all.

If and when you do this post some pics and a tutorial so we can see what you did. I was thinking about getting this setup for one of my rides as a friend got it and it looks great.

he got the flush mount gauge and cap? have you heard of any problems with these~~ opening/ accuracy of gauge... i have the flame gauge now and not very accurate, any way to adjust to make more accurate?

LEDs burned out on mine and the cap failed meaning it wont pop up my dealer is looking to replace it for me. they sure look cool though.

Cool gas cap/flush mount gauge

I had the dealer install mine, and they look awesome on the Black Denim. Don't worry too much about the acuracy, I use my trip and the countdown feature for mileage. mine are the black ones.....
