Default PC III how do you know?

Hey, I finished installing my new PC III with my V&H BBS and Stage 1 kit. I was told that all I had to do was plug it up (pc3) and that was it? I was supposed to have been pre set by fuel moto, so with me being new at this type of stuff how do I know everything is running ok? I cranked the bike up and it seems to be ok. ?? Any sugestions?

Set the throttle position if you have a laptop to do so. It is under the Utilities menu I believe. And then ride it.

Last time i had a tuner i took it to a shop, he ran her on the dyno and set it perfect to my bike. I had 8HP gains 10 ft lbs of torque and milage increase about 10.

Unless you had wide band O2 sensors added and have the autotune version, your setup will be very conservative. That will keep the bike from hurting itself, but your mileage and performance will be much improved if you get the bike dyno'd.

ride it and if your happy leave it alone. if not then get a dyno tune done. they cost about 300 to 400. my fatboy was way off from canned map and only had rush slip ons and hi flow air filter. Mine went from 63.99 hp to 75.41 hp and 78.16 tq to 87.36 tq.

As stated by others Dyno it.If you went and added the stage 1 and pipes looking for more performance you now owe it to yourself to have it Dyno'd for the best map.

Sure its preset map may do the job but its capable of much more.Thats the point of adding a tuner such as the pc3.If all youre planning on doing for engine upgrades are the stage 1 and pipes you would have been much better of simply buying a TFI and saving a few bucks in the process.
