Default Chrome Plating VS Buying new chrome

i need some advice should i get me original 2007 fatboy lower legs chromed at a local plating place or just buy hd chrome lower kit from the dealer. i need some pro and cons

The only issues would be the condition of your lowers versus the new lowers. Quality of the local shop and of course, the cost.

Default chrome parts

Hi,look on ebay you can find all kind of great deals, Just make sure it's Harley brand or Drag speciaties or Kuryakn etc. I've bought 95% of my chrome from ebay, great deals if do your research and sneak in there to low bid them.......

I would doubt you could find a good chrome shop to do your lowers for much less than $250. You can get a good set of lowers from ebay or one of the Internet Harley Stores that are Harley brand, and I know their lowers are excellent. I seen a few after market lowers that were a little shabby. Check this link out.

I have sent parts out to get chromed, and they come back with all kinds of crud in them, buffing compound, oxidation, and they are a pain to clean up. I would rather buy quality OEM parts. They are already clean and ready to install. By the way, I have a set of 07-08 OEM lowers if you are interested, new in the box. PM me and I will send pictures. Thanks.

Got HD chromed lowers new in box for my Custom for $90 on eBay.

thanks guys again i found a brand new set on ebay for 99.00 plus free shipping and handling didnt need the whole kit cause thats the only part on the 07s that doesnt come chrome

Your cowbells/backplates/spacers are polished not chrome...check it out
