Let's look at what it will need.
1.Handlebar controls(some missing)
2.headlight fork tins
3.Front/ rear cylinders, heads(top end redone minimum)
4. Motor mount
5.Anniversay tank (if you want original $$$)
6.Most likely front end damage (new front end)
7.left floorboard,and shifter arm
8. Good possibility of bent frame ( mucho dinero)
When looking at a bike that you can't check out completely, you have to look at the worst case senerio . I have bought quite a few used bikes,and damaged bikes. While this one is fixable, it will still only be a $6500 bike once you are done with the repairs. Remember, this will come with a salvage title. Just trying to help here. In this market ,you can't swing a dead cat without hitting an 06 Heritage in good condition for $12,500. Hope that helps you.

well guys i went to check the bike one more time before the auction. no frame damage that i could see. maybe a small tweak in the forks but after getting on it looks like the handle bars are no good along with the right side controls.
so long story short i bid on the bike. in it for 3gs now. my mech took a look and knows what it will take to get it running. he's going to look for parts and prices, maybe 2 grand in repairs.
engine turns but one of the coils was off the bike and smashed so gotta fix it, along with all else in the picture. maybe new tank.
so the bike was in an accident. the guy didn't have insurance. and its not a salvage title. not sure what happen to the guy. just hope he's ok.
i'll let you know how it goes since i bought it.
