Thanks FastHoss. I don't want to waste it on my bike.
If I soak the saddlebags with saddlesoap, do I run the risk of mold developing between the plastic and the leather? It looks like a pretty tight fit.

I think the chances of that would be pretty slim, but if you want to be extra careful just let them dry inside your home for a few days.

Long, Short, thick or thin, Vaseline will get it in!!

Just be careful 'soaking' you bags in water.
Not sure but I think leather shrinks after getting wet.
