What is your thoughts on the swing arm saddlebags? I'd like to have some storage on my 90 softail custom, but I don't want to mess with the looks much, and I don't want to get normal saddlebags. I'd like to see pics if you've got them.

 

I'm with you.

While I've needed some storage from time to time, I just love the minimalist look with no bags.

I think it's a good option.

Check out Shaun at sokustoms. I just talked to him about doing one for me and he is a member of this site. I emailed him on what I wanted and he called to verify everything to include throwing some ideas at me. The bag is custom to YOU and not made by some kid in a third world country. There are a lot of guys here who went with him not only on bags but seats and have nothing but good things about the work he does.

I have a garage Leathers solo bag. It is well made and top quality.

 

Leatherworks here. It has room for a long-sleeve T, a bottle of water, sunscreen, and another pair of glasses. Make sure you either use the fuzzy side of the velcro or electrical tape to protect the paint on your swingarm.

 

Is there any issues with the rear peg and the bag fitting? It looks pretty tight in the pic. Would a passenger still be comfortable?
