I've seen several customized softails that seem to have been stripped of some excess weight including the battery. I was hoping this might lead to a setup or alternative to help me lean up my fxdf. Anyone with some insite on the matter?

 

I've seen some setups with the batter box under the tranny (not on a harley), maybe if you went to a hardtail you could put it where the softail shocks are (not sure this is even possible), but you are gonna have to have a battery somewhere.

 

If the bike cannot go without a battery then perhaps it is hidden behind or below the tranny.
