Default Thanks for the feedback !!

Thanks to everyone for letting me know your experiences. Your responses are pretty consistent across the board towards the Rush mufflers. I see a lot of happy responses on the 1 3/4" diameter too - that's also a big help.

I went to a "performance" seminar at my local H-D dealer tonight (Ray Price H-D in Raleigh, NC). They have a dyno and talked about all the good things the dyno can point out, especially once you start changing things (like exhaust).

Also interesting was they were talking about air / fuel ratios and how restrictive (lean) the newer bikes have to run to meet EPA standards. They said they get a lot of complaints about excessive heat on the '09 and '10 Touring bikes. They said the heat is direct result of the lean fuel mixture set at the factory. Richen it up just a hair and it'll run cooler - of course, you have to have a fuel management system that will allow those kind of adjustments too... more money... :-) I know my Fat Boy can put off its own share of heat...

Anyways, I just wanted to share what I'd heard tonight and thank all of you for your help.

Have a good one,
Jack

Rush 1.75s on mine and love them. I wouldn't go any bigger on the baffle if you want to keep the sound down.

I had the SE slip-ons on my 09 Fatboy and removed them as they sounded very close to stock. I asked the same question and got alot of educated responses from the experts (YOU GUYS) I went with the 2" Rush and could not be happier as they sound and look great, they are not too loud (for me) but when you open it up they have a nice bark to them.

here is a utube clip i made maybe.
