Default painting rims

Has anyone ever tried to paint your spokes with a rattle can and top coating with clear

Not yet, but I am seriously considering it too. Would be good to see some other points of view.

Nope, but maybe go out and pick up a cheap junk wheel to see how it comes out and holds up. Instead of possibly screwing up your good wheel.

Think i would try one of them do it yourself Harbor frieght powder coat and my kids easy bake oven

do you think if I powder coated it that it would stay better then clearcoat

100% sure it would last longer! But, if you are looking to go the "cost effective" route, i'm thinking that it might be a possibility........

theere was someone in here that RC'ed their rims a little while back.. Oppps maybe that was the front forks....

I did my F250 stock rims with the Dupont rim and wheel paint. As with anything if your prep right and take your time it will work. I have been running my truck now for almost two years with no issue. This has been through mud, sand and gravel.

i was thinking with high heat header paint as it has ceramic in it and seems very tough. i just painted the chrome exhaust and it worked great
