Unhappy Aux brake/Run/Turn Signal Conversion PROBLEMS!!

HI ALL!!

Well, here's what we have.

2009 Fatboy / Tmaxx / stock

I installed the HD Auxiliary brake/run/turn signal conversion kit #69462-06A. Seemed easy enough, its a "plug and play" system.

NOW the left turn signals work fine for about 5 seconds then flash rapidly like a burned bulb. All the bulbs are fine and the system works as advertised other than this.

Do we think the Tmaxx has anything to do with this or should I look somewhere else?

I really like the look of the red running/brake lights just need it to work properly.

I appreciate all your input!!!!!!!!!

I know that the badlands run/turn/brake kit came with instructions on how to reset the ecu once the kit was installed. not always does it need to be done but it is a possibility. It requires turning the ignition, setting switch to RUN, then closing ignition 2 times,etc... a series of left and right turn sig. . you get the idea.
Have you tried removing the kit and going back to stock form to see what happens ?

I've been using the Biketronics Tailbones converter version for 3 years, with out a problem. At the same time I switched to LED rear signals and called Biketronics to see if it would work with them. Their tech said it would be a good idea to do a momentary disconnect of the battery, then activate each turn signal for 10 seconds or more. He said the signals might start to flash faster then usual, but the ECM should adjust in a few seconds.
Mine never did flash fast, but it might be worth a try if you did the momentary disconnect of the battery, then activated each signal for 10 seconds or so.

Be sure all bulbs are good, then try this, with bike off and key on, turn right turn signal on for only 2 flashes, left turn siganl on for only 2 flashers, back to right and left if flash for about 10 seconds, then try your left.
