Default Stabil in Gas Tank.Do You Run The Bike for 5 Minutes?

I am going to put Stabil in my gas tank this year. Do you guys run the engine for 5 minutes after you pour it into the tank? Or do you just let it sit in the tank over the winter?

I hear conflicting reports....but I guess both are right.

Pour some in the tank while topping off with fresh gas. It will get mixed in and into the injectors on the ride home. That way, you are one step ahead for winter. Or, you could skip the Sta-bil and just ride all winter, except when the snow is on the ground.

Ride every chance this winter is my plan! I hope I don't have to use StaBil because that means I'm riding.

I add StaBil at home and then take a quick ride to a gas station to top off my tank. By the time I'm home the stabilizer is throughly mixed and moved into the injectors.

You need to run it some after adding. If you just pour it in the tank and dont run it the gas in your injectors wont have the stabil in them and they could gum up. If you dont run it you really kinda defeat the purpose of putting it in.
