Just fill your tank up and forget about the Stabil unless your parking it for longer then 6 months. I've never used it and I've never had any problems in the spring starting the bike.

For 5 bucks why take a chance...what aggravation is a carb rebuild or plugged injectors?...Could never figure out when a guy drops 20 plus K on a bike and is concerned about a few bucks here and there.
I am going to put Stabil in my gas tank this year. Do you guys run the engine for 5 minutes after you pour it into the tank? Or do you just let it sit in the tank over the winter?
I hear conflicting reports....but I guess both are right.

I've gone through too many lawn mowers by not caring for them, I'll loose a few bucks to keep from gumming up my bike. Use the stabilizer and work it into the engine for a few minutes.

That used to be fairly safe but depending on where you live, possibly not any more. I'm between Chicago & Milwaukee and the reformulated crap around here forms stuff in a carb bowl in less than two months. It's so bad I keep a 5 gal can of Stabil-mixed gas on hand at all times and that's what I fill the lawn mower with and use for making 2-stroke mix to use in my chainsaw, weed-whacker, etc.
Fuel-injected bikes are a little more forgiving since you have fuel pressure from a pump instead of engine vac and gravity to move fuel. I fog my jetski carbs every fall and keep a Stabil mix in the gas tank. Since it's a plastic tank and there's a water trap I don't leave much gas in the tank. For a metal tank I fill it up all the way for winter to avoid rust forming in the tank. In spring I siphon most of it out and pour it into my truck where it's diluted and not able to go directly into the lines. That lets me put a few gallons of fresh gas in the bike before I fire it up.
