A penny to clean chrome?
When I read it I thought it was the dumbest damn thing I ever heard, then I tried it. Get some tar, boot scuffs or melt something on your pipe. Get a pre 1974 (copper) penny and scratch it off. It doesn't leave a mark and gets anything off. Just thought I would spread the word for anyone who hasn't heard.

I was all set to call foul on this one, this summer I had some big ole bug get squished between my leg and the aircleaner on a long ride. The remains of that thing left minute scratches on the chrome aircleaner..So a penny just has to....
Dug up and old penny and went to town on an old piece of chrome, not a mark and I laid into it, I'm amazed.
How fine is that steel wool, I've got some pretty fine stuff in the garage for applying wax to new furniture polish and it willclean the chrome but leave fine scratches if you put a 10x ring to it.

Be sure you use your penny or scrubber only on "REAL CHROME". Some of the junk coming out of china they call CHROME these days are pittiful, and will scratch!!! Another quick method is a piece of wadded up aluminun foil, or a Mr Clean's "MAGIC ERASER" , BUT ONLY ON COLD CHROME SURFACES.
Before you use anything, I'd try it on an area you dont see.........just to be sure. Cripe, alot of what you think is real chrome, ends up being silver painted hard plastic anymore!!!
