Default D&D Awesome!!

I have been researching some good 2:1 pipes over the last month. I narrowed my choices down to the Thunderheader, D&D fatcat, or the Bassani Road Rage. I picke the D&D. All over this forum there are many people running the D&D Fatcat so I decided to give it a try. I didn't like the fact that heat shields were extra on both the TH and RR and I heard that the chroming was cheap on the TH. Just as I had read the quality of the D&D pipe was outstanding. The performance was even better. I have a 00 Fatboy with a 95" kit w/ milled heads, comp releases, andrews 26G gear drive cams, adj pushrods, and a Mikuni 42mm. The bike runs great now and the sound is what I was looking for as well. Before the swap I was running V&H shortshots. I have not re-dyno'd it yet but the *** dyno has definately increased.
For anyone considering the D&D Fatcat 2:1 I would highly recommend it.

I've got a LowCat, and I agree. Top quality pipe, sounds great, and makes a ton of power. 6 months after install I had an issue with the finish on my pipe. Took a picture of it and emailed it to them, had a new pipe on my doorstep less than 2 weeks later. Great company.

I was a little hesitant to buy it at first. I had heard the TH before and loved them. Never heard or seen a DD. There were so many people running them here. So I did it, love it, can't wait to ride again.

Obviously you're a man of good taste. I'm guessing, when you dyno, that you'll find the pipe alone has added as much as 7 hp. Did you get the standard or the quiet baffle?

I have a fatcat with quite baffle. It's loud and great for performance.

I also have the quiet baffle. It isn't really quiet at all, except at cruise, and it's got a somewhat deeper sound than the standard baffle, which I like.

correct at neutral throttle (not accelerating) it isn't that loud at all, but crack it and it gives you a great deep tone. I have had plenty of harley's and this is my favorite exhaust yet.

Yup. Sounds like a big-block muscle car when you get into it.

didn't pull the trigger on a 2-1 system when I did the cams this spring, if I did the fatcats is the way to go.. looks, sound, perf.... they will be the ones when and if I ever change.
