Hey folks, is any one running Kuryakyn rear axle covers? I have a 05 Deluxe and am trying to clean up the ugly axle nuts. My concern is installing these covers on the right exhaust side. I measure exactly 1 inch between the end of the nut and the slip on Cycle Shack mufflers. It does not look like enough clearance. Do you think I can shim the muffler bracket out to clear?I have not bought them yet to see. Any pics or input would be great, Thanks

 

Ahh...I was interested in those too when I had my Cycle Shack slip-ons....and it is a tight fit. I think they would work since you slide them in from the rear, but worst case scenario...just slide off the slip-ons and install them. Overall I think there is clearance...but that was a *think*... There is a Harley axle cover kit that comes with shims for the exhaust etc

 

I have them on my bike and I had to put some washers about 9 of them on where the exhuast meets the frame. Works just fine after that.
