I'm wondering if the RK Police bike tachometer will fit on a Softail and if so how much is required to wire it?

I know it'll physically fit, but I'n not sure if the Heritage is wired to accept the tachometer with little modifications or if it'll take a lot of work to retrofit. Anyone done this mod? Thanks.

 

The Heritage is already wired for a tach. If it's not already in the plug-in connector, it is folded back in the harness. I believe it is the pink wire. Maybe someone else will confirm that. It was pink on my '03 Heritage.

 

where do you plan on mounting the tach?

 

I planned on mounting it on the handlebar mount just like the RK.
