To each their own. I would never dis another's bike. If they like it then it is cool. I personally like only a solid color bike. I have never been a two tone fan of any colors, but that's just me. As long as you like your bike that is all that matters. Someone will love those colors too. Have a good 4th!

i don't think anyone here was 'dissing' someone's ride. That bike was sittiing at a dealership (and may stay there for a quite some time)

I'm not a big fan of 2 tone but those 2 colors don't work together.....or at least not those 2 shades of those colors.

I do really like the two tone green and grey? i think it was that someone here has on their deluxe. That looks sweet imho.

I saw a duece in the orange and purple paint scheme at a dealership. It actually looks a lot better in person.

that's the one i'm talking about. damm that is nice.

Yeah, i'm sure it does look better in person. I sometimes wonder why HD even has those pictures on their site where you can pick different colors ...they look nothing like the actual colors.

Harley Spectrum Paint is a great way to change things up when you get tired of the old look, especially if you want to keep the stock look of a Harley two tone.
In my case, I was tired of the color before I bought the bike, so I sent them to HSP, and for around $1,200.00, I got back a perfect paint job from Harley that looks stock Harley.
So, options are still available. It does take a couple of months, so plan it as a winter project.
BTW Blue Rose, I can't wait to see your bike with the new toys...

Hey Haksaw,

I have the Roadhouse Brand pipe. I did notice a performance increase with the install, then had stage one done a week later, better yet. The sound is a low deep rumble, not tinny high tones. I like the retro look & that you do not see anyone else running this pipe.

As for the orange & purple paint, I have seen that paint scheme on another bike, not a Deluxe, and I thought it did not look appealing, but taste is all in my mouth perhaps. I love that green & black though!

I thought the color combination was bad when I saw it on the H-D website, but I know those $hitty photos don't do colors justice either. Then a guy on this site bought an Ultra with that color combo and posted photos - man what a difference. Personally it is a little to feminine for me, but the colors worked together and they catch your eye in a BIG way. It's hard to be noticed on a stock machine, but that color combo is on way to do it. Not for me, but I couldn't help but admire it.

I'll see if I can find the thread and you can see what I mean.

OK I don't know if this link will work or not, but check out the picture of this guy's Ultra in his member profile. Again, the H-D official photo does not do it justice.
