Default Auxiliary Passing Replacement Bulb / Light

I need to replace a passing light bulb and want to upgrade to Halogen.

HD has P/N 68208-98A, which is a halogen replacement, but it also says it's a sealed beam. If I read some posts here correctly, some are saying that this isn't correct and the bulbs CAN be replaced. Can someone, that has actually done this, confirm that the bulbs can be replaced. And, if so, what type bulbs/PN can be used in it.

HD also has P/N 68348-05 which is designed for replacement of the bulbs. Does this kit come with a halogen bulb or would I need to replace the bulbs after I bought the kit? Also, wth does Vertical Reflector Optics means.

I'm a little confused which kit I need to get, and the advantages or disadvantages of both.

Any help in sorting this out would be great.

when you say 'kit' what is in the kit.........to me it sounds like you will need some kind of inline ballast to strike the halogen lamp....... do you know wether you get this in the kit or not?
you definatley need it with h.i.b lamps but im not sure if this qualifies or not

The passing lamp kit I got to put on my '05 Standard had sealed beam lamps. When one of them finally burned out, HD didn't offer the sealed beams any more. However, they did have a conversion kit that I got to convert them to regular halogen bulbs. Now I can get the halogen replacements at the car parts house.
