Oversized tires on Rocker
Anyone know what size tires the stock rims will handle on the Rocker. I definately want a little wider on the front, and it seems like with my heartland kit, the rear could go a little wider. Are the Avons the best looking tread? If anyone thinks their tread looks pretty cool, post up a pic or two.

I don't know about the rear, but I just "upsized" the front end to a Dunlop D401F 100/90-19. I wanted a little more BEEF up front. It seemed like the 90/90 was a little "spindly" to me.
There are some deep etches in the causeway that I travel most every work morning that the 90's tended to follow and I wasn't too fond of anything other than ME determining the direction that I was heading!
I had to replace the rear tire at the same time (mileage was sittin on about 8,300). I stayed with the 240. Bike handles great!
Here's a couple pics (not pretty but they show the new tire). I'm sure I'll catch some flak about how utilitarian it looks and how it takes away from the lines of the bike, but I RIDE the bike, I don't spend a lot of time LOOKING at the bike (although I do like the way it looks...even now)
Hope this is of some interest to you. By the way I had it done at the local HD shop and it did not require any mod to the front end.

I saw a rocker on ebay that had a 110/90 on the stock front wheel.

I do like the look of the beefed up front rubber, it does look a little close to the fender.

That was the cool part. It's a little close but there is enough clearance.
The rocker on ebay that das56170 linked to running the 110/90 didn't have a front fender. That's just not an option when you live in South Mississippi. I ride my bike to and from work every day so I get caught from time to time in a downpour.
It may be the placebo effect but I think it handles much better. I had a 2003 Fat Boy before the rocker so maybe I've been jonesing for some substantiality to my front end (on my bike).
