hey guys..

I ordered a winshield bag and it came in the mail today....With the bag came a screw to mount the bag. The screw goes in the back of the bag and attaches to the windshield. The screw is about 2 1/2 " long.which is way way too long!!...Would the "stock" acorn screw that holds the trim on be long enough to hold the bag on the windshield?

I know, I can go check myself, but I am working late tonight!

I used the screw that was on the bike.... took the chrome acorn nut off and screwed it into the back of the windshield bag.

 

I also just used the original screw in the windshield. Worked out fine.

 

thanks that what I figured....just wasn't sure if the "stock" screw was long enough to go through the windshield trim and be long enough to secure the bag also...

 

You're welcome. Just be careful of over tightening and cracking the plastic...

I saw it right "out of the crate" and put a deposit on it within 5 minutes

 

A drop of Loctite here will pay dividends in the long run.
