Default 2007 FXSTC vs 2008 FXSTC

Does anyone know the difference (if any other than colors) between a 2007 Softail custom and a 2007 Softail custom. I have a 2008 and want to by a used set of tins on line and found a set that the seller says will fit a 2006 or 2007. I think it should fit the 08 but not sure. If there is anything different it has got to be with the tank. Can someone help me?

The change was in 07 for softails, and it's irritating with the 06 confusion with the dyna. But I'd say you're OK if he didn't specify earlier than 06.

thanks! BTW, I have the same color bike as you do. I love the color, but have always liked two-tone paint.

'08 have a redesigned rear swingarm section, different brakes. They both use same wheels and rear tires. Front tire tread pattern is different from '07 but size didn't change. Can't give any info on the tins. Rusty front spokes included as standard equipment on both.
