If you order from D2Moto....be careful. Just sayin.....
On a side note, HD does NOT market a heavy breather for the 07 FatBoy, which is why I settled on this one. I've done a lil research, and if you don't like the spike portion, you can combine the assemblies by attaching the D2Moto parts from the throttle body to the neck, and clamp on the HD filter kit (29424-05A, $79). Add the SE rain sock, and voila! I'll let ya know if I decide to spend MORE money on this project
If you go that route, I guess you can use the old spike for helmet jewelry??

It's not the breather itself that has the oil leaks; it's the little piston thingies. I'm no mechanic, so as you can see my terminology is way off.
The pistons are exhaust ports for when your engine is running really hot. You will notice it most when you get stuck in traffic for 1/2 hr or more. The exhaust itself has oil residue in it and so it will tend to pool a bit at the bottom of the piston thingies before coming out. I'm sure if I didn't have a chrome oil tank that I wouldn't notice it at all.
Edit: I was also told by a bike builder that you can use food coloring to change the color of the K&N oil filters to more closely match your bike color (in some instances).
