I checked my 2003 & 2004 catalogs and I didn't see a tin set offered that looked like yours. I also check my smaller mid season 03 & 04 catalogs that have a lot of paint jobs displayed but I didn't see your exact set.

I also searched around on Google and I came up empty.

Next time your at a dealership just ask at the parts counter. Those guys have access to all sorts of information.

For now though, I'd just enjoy the tins .............and get some more friends!

Harley was real nice about it but they came up with nothing. They even called harley but they never got back to him. So They have no clue. I know its not a big deal but I would like to know if the gold was added on... this is odd. I wish I could find a set to no for sure

Is there clear coat over the gold? If not, they were probably added after the factory clear coat.
