Cool will dot 5 hurt chrome?

I got some dot 5 on my chrome will that hurt it? I cleaned it up best I could Im just glad it did not hit the paint. Thanks..

No. Doesn't affect paint like Dot 3 and 4 either. Clean it off, (Windex?) and forget it.

Thankfully, no. If it , my wheels would look like crap now. One of my fork drain screws started leaking a few months ago and brake fluid was all over the front wheel. Just clean it up and keep on riding.

That would be Fork oil, not brake fluid.

Don't do it unless the whole system; master, lines and caliper is changed to a dot5 system.

Your 2003 uses dot 5?

Like others have said, brake fluid won't hurt your chrome. I've split it on my tins numerous times and wiped it off, never hurt my paint either (probably would if you left it on, but wasn't willing to test it )
