cobra or cobra II headlight on softail standard
has anyone here put on a cobra or cobra II headlight on there softail standard?
if so, did you need to use an adapter bracket, or did it just bolt on to the lower tree? looks like it would hit against the top tree...looks kind of tall (5 3/4 x 9")

Headlight:

Bracket:

The bracket does not come with mounting bolts & the ones on the stock cobra bracket are a little larger. I had to make a trip to the hardware store to pick up 2 chrome button head bolts & washers that fit. I don't remember the size & thread but they were about 5/8" in length each. One goes on each side of the lamp & screws into the bracket.
The stock bolt that goes through the tree & into the bracket was a little long so I just cut it down.
