Where did you find the wind-rain deflectors? The only ones I have been able to find were for the touring models in the HD part catelog.

Thanks
Bill

Thanks for all the info guys. I have one last question.

I plan on ordering my windshield this weekend and I am trying to decide on the style. Now my main issue is keeping the wind out of my ears because it's so loud it's damaging my hearing. Last ride my ears rang for 3 days straight.

My last bike had a police style windshield that came up to about eye level and kept all the wind out of my ears and enough out of my face to be comfortable yet still feel like I'm on a bike.

Heres the question:

Will a sport style windshield like in the link below do the same for me even though it's smaller?

http://www.gm-cycles.com/Items/s06c1...Custom%20FXSTC

Or should I go with the bigger(taller) police style like my previous bike had seen in the link below

http://www.gm-cycles.com/Items/hd-0-...FXSTC%20Custom

I prefer the look of the sportier one, but am more concerned with performance so to speak.

Thanks again guys!

What would you guys reccomend. I rode for 2 years with a windshield and my new Softail doesn't have one. Riding is much more comfortable with a windshield. Plus, all that wind makes my ears ring
Memphis shades batwing with their spoiler 6.5 shield. This for cold seasons, during the warmer months I do use a windvest tombstone shield mounted on my handlebars and that works for keeping the wind off my chest but I do have to use ear plugs or a 3/4 helmet at freeway speeds. With the batwing I don't need to use either.

You may want to check out www.clearviewshields.com. We have many options available including shields with extra width and an upper recurve for better side and vertical air protection. We can also include a 5 position venting system that will help decrease buffeting by an additional 30%. HD Forum members always get a 10% discount and I also heard that there will be a weekend special for an additional discount posted on the Forum by the end of day on Thursday. The 10% HD Forum discount code is "hdforum". You will have to check the Forum on Friday for the code for the weekend special. This special will be good throughout the weekend on all online orders.

Any Chance you can send a pic of the deflectors? My turn signals barely clear the highway bar and I'm curious how yours get by the issue. Thanks
