RE: How does the new 05 Springer Classic ride??
Kicks, I just picked up mine a week ago last saterday and its great though I can't say how it would compare to the Heritage Springer Ive never ridden one, but I can say it's a world above the 93 Springer I had. Ive got about 250mi. on it and been caught out with it twice once in a snow storm and once in a down pour and it handled both just fine.(very, very happy I put the windshield on this one) But I will say Ive ridden a lot of bikes and unless youre on a very rough road I would put it's ride up against pretty much anything out there in that style of bike.

Kicks,
The new one is on a Softail frame, just like the earlier models. My understanding is that the only difference between the 2005, and the earlier models, is that the 2005 has less. No windshield, and no saddle bags. I'm sure there might be a few other minor changes.
Regards,
Bill

Softail frame but it's not a Heritage softail and I've read a little about a difference in the two like the new on is way stiffer and bouncy behind kinda like riding a two by four down the road sitting on the bike rather then in the bike...I can't say.

It is not a Heritage Softail, it is a Springer Classic Softail. The difference between the Heritage and the Springer Classic, it the Springer Classic has a springer front suspension, while the Heritage Softail has a Hydralic Tube front end.
The 2000 to 2004 Springer Heritages were basically the same as the 2005 Springer Classic. So I would guess that all 5 year models ride about the same. None of them are on a touring model (Roadking, Electra Glide, etc.) frame.
As far as rear bouncing goes, I wouldn't know what the difference would be. All of the Softails(Heritage, Springer, Springer Heritage, Deuce, Night Train, and Custom) are on the same basic frame with the same basic rear swing arm, suspension, and mono-shock.
Hope this helps.

RE: How does the new 05 Springer Classic ride??
I did a lot of research before buying this bike and every thing I found points to this bike being the same exact bike as the 2003 Heritage Springer only with the extra's removed, in fact the bags I put on are new replacement bag's for an 03 Heritage Springer. And as for the ride I sure wouldn't call it stiff and have seen no bounce at all.
