Touring seat for big butt. Bring on the wisecracks!
I am looking for a good seat to ride for traveling. The stock seat never did it for me and my C&C sport tour didn't either. I even tried a Corbin and it doesn't work for me either. I can see any of the three being quite comfortable if your butt is smaller than mine, but they don't work for me. I'm 6'1" 240lbs and my butt is admittedly a little bigger than average. The problem with the C&C and the Corbin is that their sharp edges dig in to my butt because it is wider than the seat. The stock seat seams to stick up into my butt in the back. The mustang looks kinda like it might do the same. I also prefer a seat that sits lower into the frame if possible which seams to preclude trying the sundowner which looks very tall. Does anyone have any siggestions? I've got it well covered when it comes to slick little seats for around town, but I want to take a vacation on my bike soon and my seats won't cut it for consecutive 300+ mile days. Thanks for any help guys.
The Mustang wide touring seat does it for me. I've had one on the last three bikes I've owned. I weigh 20 lbs more than you do and the Mustang seat is very comfortable. No problem riding 400 miles a day.
i bought a sundowner seat to put on my cross bones for a trip from ny to myrtle beach and my *** was fine the whole way. it does sit you up a little and doest look the best but it is comfortable as hell. o yeah and i am 360 pounds and it fit fine
6'1" 255 lbs here...Mustang touring supports my wide Azz pretty good...I think Sundowner would work also as i have had one on my 05 Sportster and worked well...
Mustang,Mustang,Mustang....Grand Canyon trip 1200 miles in 3 days...Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Virgina City trip 1300+ miles 5 days never once did our (riding two up) butts have any issues.
i would shoot a mustang if you are willing to swap comfort for looks, i can ride for ever but i miss the look of my solo seat...the old lady wont ride on the stock seat that came with it.
The advantage to a Sundowner seat is the dealer normally has them in stock. They should let you put it on your bike so you can see how it looks and feels. With an aftermarket seat you don't know if you are going to like it, until you have bought it.
