Don't let the actions of 1 douche bag taint your view of the dealership; at least they made good with a loaner.

My buddy was having a bunch of parts put on his Bob. They promised they would be on by the time he picked up the bike (brand new) push come to shove, he picked up the bike, filthy (hadnt even washed it since it came out of the crate) THEN informed him that his parts were never ordered. So, 3 weeks later he got his parts, 2 months later he got his wheels. Situations like this are enough to really **** you off. He made good on the loaner, but I would want to idle that loaner down the road followin that biatch away from the dealer after they **** canned her. Just 2 cents

Had a similar problem a couple years ago with service writer. Parts are on order blah blah blah...., then parts are shipped and on their way.

Asked her check delivery date, and answer was " Our system can't do that"

Finally went in to check in person on her day off -partrs were never ordered.

Dealers site had section for commemts/complaints so I calmed down and sent a message with just the facts, no ranting.

Message went directly to dealership owner dn fhe called me at home that night. Parts were order with overnight/early am delivery.

Parts came inthe next morning, and sat on a table foir a couple hours until I went in and checked on them. Ran into the owner on the floor and showed him the parts.

Bike was immediatelyu put on the lift and I had it in an hour.

Couple weeks later the Service Writer was working in Clothing section, and then gone!!

Dealership is now under new ownership so I'll see it the attitide is better.

Maybe it's because I'm 85-110 miles from the nearest dealerships, but I tend to buy used. I do all my own service, and buy my parts from the internet. Someday I may feel the need to have someone greet me with "Hey Bro!" before they empty my pockets. In that case I'll train a parrot and put a piggie bank next to his cage.

Sorry to hear that you got the runaround. Unfortunately it's typical in many businesses besides Harley dealers. Just no excuse for the service writer shining you like that. Chances are you aren't the only one getting that treatment. Unless she has some special skills, she probably won't last long.

I put a deposit on my bike when I saw it on Friday Sept 11th. On Saturday the 12th, I ordered $2500 worth of parts. I went on vacation from the 14th to the 18th. I went to the dealer on Saturday the 19th and they said they are waiting for 2 more parts then they will start doing the bike. They do not want to start it until ALL the parts are there. That I can understand. I hope that it will be ready this Saturday! If not...I may have to speak to the service manager, then write a "rant" post
