I just bought a 2006 Deluxe in Black Cherry. The front fender has a ghost skull and flames. There is nothing else special about the paint job except some pin striping . Some people have said it could have been done by Harley Davidson. Here is a picture. Is there any place I can check out to verify this?

 

I am almost positive that that paint job is not Harley. There were no custom paint sets or color shop pieces done in Black Cherry that I can recall. There are others on this forum that have way more knowledge and longer memories than I do, so hopefully they will chime in and help you out. But I am pretty dang sure that that is not the work of the MoCo.

 

I doubt HD would have put a skull on the front fender and left the tank and rear fender bare. I highly doubt it is a HD paint set.

 

I don't know who did it...but I think it looks pretty darn cool!

 

I have the HD Radical "Skulls" paint on my 07 FLSTF. It's Candy Red Sunglo under the airbrushing. That skull in your picture is not like mine, but it does look good.

 

Thanks, I really like it and the way it was done. Subtle, just on the front fender. You have to really look to see it. The guy that owned it also did the Willie G skull footboards, pegs and grips. It looks great, without going overboard.
