Default 40 or 60-spoke: 18x3.5 front, 16x3.5 rear, any suggestions?

I've been riding on 16x3.5 Fat Daddies, front and rear, for over a year now and have been happy with them, but want to change. The FDs are heavier than I'd like, and I have been looking at getting back on some classic spokes. I'd like to go 18F/16R with black hubs/spokes/nipples, and chrome wheel barrels. Anyone know of a place that can make this happen without breaking the bank? I've been looking at DNA(good prices) and HDWheels.com(more options but pricey), but want to make sure I'm not forgetting a vendor worth giving a chance.

Also, has anyone else seen information stating that Maxxis has ceased building their classic line of motorcycle tires? I've been looking around and it seems that every store has them listed as out of stock or unavailable. If they are dead, does anyone else know of a manufacturer making 18" tires with wide whitewalls?

All of this would be going on a 2007 Deluxe, if that matters. Thanks!

On a side note, has anyone tried this Icelandic Whitewall paint?

I see a couple of Harleys in their gallery. Definitely seems interesting for those looking to have larger than normal wide whites.

I'm curious about that paint as well...I have a funky sized rear tire 160/60/18 and whilst putting a narrow whitewall on the front is easy noboby makes an 18" rear 150/160 or even 180!

I think whitewalls are badass...In my case I want the narrow band of white to try and take a step closer to the old school look.....

Anyone care to comment on that creepy paint or let me and WouldBe in on where the top secret whitewalls tires are stored!!

I've been looking at doing some new powdercoated wheels, too. HDWheels is where I've been looking, and the estimate I got from them was pretty high. I asked 'em how much it would cost to powdercoat a Harley rim and they quoted me $350/ea for black rim, blue pinstripe, stainless nipples and spokes and a black hub. My plan is to get some cheap rims off eBay and send those off. I've seen rims on eBay go as low as $100 for both.

$400/ea ends up being a lot cheaper than the $750/ea they quoted me for their rims.

I'm thinking about contacting Buchanan Spokes as well, but they aren't cheap once you add up the price of the rim, spokes and nipples. You then have to source hubs as well. $750 does seem a bit much for standard spokes. Anyone planning to build their own? I think I'm going to assemble these myself, with some help from a couple local experts, that is.
