Default Throttle Cables

Ok guys question here...

I just received my SS throttle cables from Hill Country Customs like 2-3 days ago. When I ordered them all i had to give them was the bars that i had put on there along with the risers and they sent me the cables. Now the question i have is. When i went to put the throttle cables on they turned out to be the right length in the housing but the internal cable was about 3/4 inch to long. I know that you can tighten the cable but I can't get that much slack out. Is there any thing that i can do or am i going to have to send the cables back? All the other cables (Clutch, Brake) fit without a problem. Could it be cause i have a S&S super carb on there? Thanks

I have the exact same cables from HCC and i had to extend them almost all the way out. Cable length does seem long.

You might try routing the cable a little differently to take up the slack. That's what I did. Good luck!!
