Deluxe with Roadking Saddlebags.

A quick update to this:
I just picked up a pair of used Night Train bags! Good deal and they latch right onto my quick mount system bolts. Now the only problem is that there is a support arm that comes from the back and is supposed to mount between the frame and the passenger peg.
There seems to be about a 4-5" gap between the peg mount and this arm's mounting point.
Would anyone even make an extender for this or am I gonna have to seriously rig this thing?
There's a pic posted here circling the mounting points and I have an email out to Dr VTwin already...

Trying to add hard bags also
Hey softail girl,
could you send me a note with your friends exhaust set up. I'm trying to do a 2 into 1 on my Deluxe also and haven't had much luck getting info
on clearance issues. Just found a set of hard bags, should get them next week sometime; have Heritage bags right now and only running left side with my stock pipes. Right side bag was resting on heat shield. Many exhaust systems I looked at stated not for use with Heritage style bags, so I'd really like to know what's on that bike. Very Nice set-up.

Looks like the stock Heritage standoff will be a little to long, But you may be able to drill and tap a hole where you need it and cut off the excess if it's in the way of anything. I'm trying to put hard touring bags on a Deluxe and having clearance issues with exhaust, so I have been looking at a few things myself. Just a thought.

Well....so glad someone else started this topic as I got to see a lot of very nice bikes with what I am looking to do with my bike. It rains a lot here in South Fl and the cheap bags I bought leak soooo bad I had to put a bilge pump inside them...well almost that bad. I have been looking for hard bags, but had no idea what they would look like on a Heritage...now I do. Now to find some at a decent price. Thanks for all the pics and info!

Attachment 65952Here are three pictures of my Deluxe with Classic saddle bags. The mounts are cycle vision which work very well. I am very happy with how they are built and I like the ability to put hard bags on also with no effort. The only drawback is the expense of getting mufflers below the axle. For me it was well worth it.
