Yeah, I just go off my trip odometer and refill when it gets close to 175 miles. I love how easy it is to wax the bike. I would take some pictures but I just got to KC from a 6 hour road trip and the bike is a little dirty. Once I get back home I'll wax it all up again and take some pics.
Same thing happened to my skull gas gauge after four months of use. Bought mine from Chicago HD and they said Harley has a 1 year warranty on electrical. So they ordered me another on free of charge.
I was going to install them on my Fatboy but the dealer told me theyhave beenreplacing a lot under warrenty because the LEDs fail. So I'm going to put the money into a differentupgrade.
does the flush mount Gas Cap when you pop it up and remove (does the whole thing come out or just the section that pops up? I put the Kuryakyn flush mount because it had a protection ring that screwed into the OEM gas threads. its nice in that it prevents me from scratching my tank when filling up.
Leds went on mine. Chicago HD replaced it for free - even including the shipping to the UK! I was told that the original ones have had major problems with blowing. New ones installed, and notice that they light up differently at the start. They now all light up then fade one by one to the fuel level. Hope these ones work, as like most on this site, find them cool over stock.
Installed OEM on '07 Heritage. Looks great and even better with the Kuryakyn spedo visored bezel Easy install on the caps if you take the time on the electrical and get the wires in correct. Now on to pipes/big sucker and power commander.
