[QUOTE=BLKnCHRME09Deluxe;5503339]The heritage doesn't come with true duals stock. They do have a cross-over.... "true duals" = no crossover

lot of riders can't see the cross-over and think they are true 2-2's.. on the later Heritage's the CO is behind and between the pikes..

PewterHeritage , nice looking bike, did the rider backrest come with it, or you special order it?

I have a 08, and want to install one on my bike.

Thanks

And to the OP...why run V&H when Samson are available....no brainer..IMO of course.

I mis-spoke. WHen I said "crossover", I didn't mean from one pipe to the other. I meant the rear pipe crossing over to the left side. I thought they would go under the bike, like on the tourers. But I see that they do kind of a horseshoe behind the back cylinder and come out on the left side.

It appears that the main choices for true duals for Heritage are Samsons and V&H. I know this may be difficult to answer, but if anyone has heard both, can you describe the difference in sound/tones producedby each.

Thanks

Just installed the Samson Long Longtails this weekend on my heritage. I heard the V&H true dual fishtails prior to my purchase. Not impressed. The tone on the Samsons and the look IMO are far superior. I will say this: If you like loud exhaust and aren't too concerned with quickness, go without baffles. I wish I had. In fact anyone looking to purchase this set up- I will trade my baffled mufflers for non-baffled plus give $100. Just a thought, let me know and I'll take mine off today. Phat Performance has them for right at $600. Best price i've seen. Fast and free shipping. Hope this helps.
