My bike has a V&H 2 into one installed by the previous owner. It has baffels, must the standard cause it's pretty damn loud when I get on it. At idle it has a great low rumble I really like, not too loud.

The V&H, together with the SE engine upgrades, was a big factor in my decision to buy this bike. Glad I did

Straightshots HS Slip-ons w/Quiet Baffles.

Had them on for about 12,000 miles and sound was getting a bit harsh so replaced the Quiet Baffles with a new set.

The fiberglass was disintegrated - sounds great again with new baffles.

I put the QB's in a few days after installing the Slip Ons on my Sporty. It brought the tone down a bit but kept all that nice Harley rumble. The Sporty's actually louder than the Deluxe which has the Double Long Barrel's on it. They come with the QB's already in them (I believe). But both sound great.

yesterday i installed Thunder Baffles on my heritage. Type thunder baffles into yahoo to find them, they sound great. I have a night train also with short shots and the thunder baffles. Heritage las long shots. went with the Original its called. Idle not too much different, but at open throttle or when you let off the gas has great sound. Louder than stock, but not ear numbing. I had the baffles out for an hour before thunder baffle install for comparison. wasnt too bad volume wise but sounded uneven. not a smooth flow.

Thunder Monster Baffles should be the first thing you do when you put Vance and Hines pipes on yo bike. They are a must have.

Took off some big-shots to replace them with the thunderheader. Stock baffles sounded better than no baffles and being not loud enough (and in the wrong pitch for me) I don't think quiet baffles would've done better.

Greetings,

I've always just used the stock baffles. They seem to work the best for me and definitely better than running no baffles at all.
