Default Rear fender suggestion.

I'm looking for a rear fender which is fixed to the swing arm and not the bike's struts. I like the way the fenders embrace the rear tire without the need of lowering the bike. I'm running a 150 in the rear so that is another thing to consider. Any suggestions???

Tnx,

Mimo.

Are you going to weld the fender to the swing-arm? If so I would weld some bungs to the swingarm then get a fender blank and just cut it. There all over ebay.

I know a guy in New Orleans that took a piece of 9" cast iron pipe and cut it the width he needed then he cut the circumference (not sure if I spelled that right) in almost half so that it followed the curve of the tire. Chocked it up with 2" x 2" pieces of wood to hold it off the tire while he welded it to the frame. Thus eliminating the need of a strut or a fender support. He also wired up on of those little 1" x 6" LED strips underneath at the edge for a neat looking brake/stop light...

LOL! Not my case... I just really dig some of the rear fender jobs I've seen mostly on the x-bones around here.... really cool rigid-looking fenders.

I may see him before the Saints game next week. If he shows up I'll take a few close ups and try to get some details...
