Ok- here's the deal: this is driving me nuts- I have an '08 FXSTB in Pewter Denim. I VERY MUCH want a chopped rear fender like the Heartland- but am NOT paying $1500 for it. I have found a few fenders that look like they could work, but being a n00b about fitments and the inner dimensions of my bike, I wonder what would work.

One of these fenders is at www.demonscycle.com. It's strutless and looks badass. Would this work? Any advice would be MUCH appreciated.

Yes that one is strutless but it doesn't attach to the swingarm but to the frame of the bike.

Send an IM to "NoWax Bones" he has a xbones and loved my rocker so much he copied my rear fender (almost). He doesnt log on much because he is usually drinking in his garage. He ordered some aluminum mounting bracket that he bolted to the bottom of this cheap fender he bought off of ebay. The fender made a 1500 mile road trip (without flying off) so he done good. Below is what it looks like:

any good idea will require welding some sort of tabs to the swingarm.... You might even be able to use ur fender u have on right now.... hmmmmm a project...good luck
