The dealerships wont touch the older bikes so that leaves either do it yourself or independent shop for those of us riding older bikes Dealerships wont touch anything older than 2000

 

Not true. My H-D shop routinely has older bikes in teh shop.



My dealer also price matched tire prices with those that are online so I am having them do the job for me.

 

Maybe not true at your local H-D dealer but that is an exception, certainly not the rule....

The dealership near me only works on the older bikes by appointment, during winter months only.

Many dealerships won`t even mount a tire on a wheel that is carried in if it is for an older bike.

Here in Wisconsin The dealerships i have around me wont work on anything older than 2000 Last Dealership in the area I live in that worked on the older stuff closed it's doors a year ago I'm located about 45 miles from Milwaukee
