RE: How loud are the Sampson True Duals?
Hi Bluerose,
I've got the Samson true duals with the fishtail mufflers (Silver Bullets)from Samson. There is some yellow discoloration but the covers take care of most of it. The mufflers are quieter than the straight fishtails, but they also are loud enough. With the fishtail tips they have a different sound than the round standard tips.
My wife has decided on the Samson true duals when we get her Deluxe this fall.
The pictures on my album show them pretty well.

RE: How loud are the Sampson True Duals?
Thanks Scurvy Jack....I'm waiting now on emails from Samson and HD.
Love the look of the true duals but I am concerned about the rate of bluing.
Asked HD about the Springer Classic pipes...heard they are a tight fit and
not quite as clean looking but might not have the bluing and glowing thing going on.
My dealer has actually been pretty straight with me regarding this so I'm hoping they
will answer me later today.
I'll post when I get some answers.

Nice.....Chilango
I did talk to the dealer today. Went through the options and he said I definately did not want to go with the Springer Classic pipes. He said they would be way too expensive and explained some problems I might have with them down the line. The Samson pipes were what I should get.
I explained to him the look I was going for and he gave me the information for what I wanted to buy...didn't think about gaskets though I thought they would come with the pipes? Anyway since I want the mufflers he told me to be sure I got the full heat shield package since I wasn't buying the (cheaper) kits with the straights, a little more $$ but will take care of my concerns about bluing.
Already have the Stage 1 air kit and download so I should just be able to mount and go
