Metzler's or Dunlop tires?

I have a Dunlop Elite 3 240/40VR-18 on the rear and a Metzeler ME 880 100/90H-19 on the front.
The Dunlop OEM that came on the front started cupping very early and did not track as good as I would have liked. Since putting the Metzeler on the front I notice a real difference in cornering and tracking. The Dunlop OEM rear did not last as long as I would have liked (4,000 miles), so I replaced it with the Dunlop Elite 3. I have almost 4,000 miles on it and it is not showing near the wear the Dunlop OEM tire was showing.

Anyone tried the new Pirelli Night Dragons? http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...Rear-Tire.aspx They're listed as a "performance" tires so I'm skeptical that they will last very long.
