Default Rotors

I'm gonna replace the rotors on my Rocker, and was wondering what my options were? I would like chrome, but have heard bad things about braking power losses. Any chrome ones that have re-machined pad surfaces to combat this? Where is the best place to get 'em? Thanks.

I have chrome rotors and my bike stops on a dime. I got my DNA rotors from e-bay for cheap. Im also using Lyndall brake pads. You may also try Eastern Performance.

I've got the Eastern chrome rotors on my bike. I lost a lot of stopping power with them. I'll be switching them out to the H-D floating rotors this winter.

I have the EBC Floating Braker Rotors and EBC HH Pads on my bike and they work ten times better than stock.

Rotors ran about $200 each and pads were $36.00 a set.

Thanks for the input, guys. Again, I'm getting mixed reviews from the chrome rotors. Any other opinions/experiences with them? I would like them to stop at least as well as stock. Better would be a bonus, but isn't essential. I just want the carriers as nice as the bits on the rest of the bike. Mine are already starting to rust and discolor, and they weren't real nice to begin with. I will check out those listed so far. Thanks again.

I have the DNA Super Spoke rotors with the holes not slits and Lyndall pads. I don't have ANY PROBLEMS with this set-up. It looks like the guy 3 post up has the Eastern Performance rotors with the slits not holes, maybe he is also running stock pads or maybe his bike needs to be bled. who knows but i can tell you my bike will lock up front and backs with no problems.

Forget chrome. It will only rust and peel.

You can always polish your stock rotors for about 5 bucks worth of sandpaper. I polished min and ran them for years till they needed replaced.

Now, I have el cheapo polished stainless rotors...about 100 bucks per pair from several eBay vendors. I use EBC Kevlar pads, because they are cheap and easy on polished rotors. My braking is as good or better than the stock set up.

Im sure thats what the OP meant polished stainless not chrome...As thats what we are all talking about...chrome plated rotors would last about 2 seconds before peeling

I got HD(sunstar)floating rotors. Big difference from stock! They are reasonably priced as well. right around $125. get the part #'s from the hd site then go to chicago HD. they give 20%off online orders.
